The Vogue Cafe

After countless Instagram pictures, and non-stop flow of positive reviews I just had to go to The Vogue Cafe. During the holidays my two cousins, sister and I decided to go bowling at Macquarie Centre.
Let me be honest here, when we were trying to find a place to have some snacks before anyone could say anything I dragged them to The Vogue Cafe. So before bowling we went.
If you have never heard of The Vogue Cafe (you must be outside of Sydney, because how?) brace yourself for some pictures thats gonna make you drool.

The Vogue Cafe is almost hidden within the shopping centre, level 2; around the corner from Myer near one of the car park entrances. The interior is absolutely to die for. Its almost rustic/vintage looking merged with modern. Its the perfect combination. The cafe itself contains seating both inside and outside. However,  if you go during lunch hour like we did you don't get much of a choice with seating as it was packed!

The crowd is totally understandable. The staff were very friendly and there was a good vibe in the atmosphere. Overall, it lived up to expectations and I will definitely go there again.

Jervis Bay

Recently I took a trip to Jervis Bay for a few days with my family. I literally fell in love with the place. This post is basically going to be a picture diary of what we got up to. This will be part one of two posts as I have way too many photos that I can't pick from them.
Our first stop was at Kiama where we got the opportunity to see the World's largest blow hole and it was pretty amazing!
After that we arrived at Jervis Bay and headed to Hyams Beach to see the World's whitest sand. My photos don't do justice to this place.
The next day we went to St Georges Basin, where we had a little picnic and took a walk around the basin. We literally saw kangaroos chillin' in peoples' backyard :o
These are the things we got to experience on the first two days of our trip. Hope you enjoyed looking at the photos that I took. Second part two this post will be coming up soon.

Try new things

For people like me who wear black and white almost everyday it's hard to wear colours and patterns- especially together. I was going over to a friends for coffee and I wanted to try something new and different with my clothes and feel confident in it. I had this skirt for ages and I probably wore it once maybe twice always with a white tank in the hope to neutralise all the colour that was happening in the skirt. But this time, I wanted to go all out and have no black or white pieces. So I paired this skirt with a denim button up shirt. I must admit at first I was like nah not feeling it but my sister assured me that it wasn't as bad as I was making it out to be. I thought you know what even if it's bad I'll just wear it. I did start to feel more confident as time passed and I actually ended up liking it.
I would really like to know what you think. Do you like it?

If not please do let me know how else I can wear this skirt. Thank you :))
P.S. The items in my combination may not be available in the stores as they were brought a while back. But just to let you know the denim shirt is from Valleygirl, the skirt is from Supre and the shoes are from Kmart.

Cinema Den

My sister and I recently went to the city and after walking miles, it was a must that we sat somewhere for a coffee. My sister spotted this little cafe. Its almost hidden in the corner of Oxford Street in Darlinghurst.

It is a very cute place. There were little flower pots and candles for decor on the tables. Inside the 'den' was  dark and rustic looking. Cinema Den is actually a Cafe Bar Art Space, meaning they do also serve alcohol, have live music, movie nights and art markets which I think is pretty awesome.
As I was there during the day these functions were not on  but I do plan to go in the evening and will let you guys know how that turns out.

The service was ok, the employees are were friendly and nice, we had a little communication problem which isn't wasn't dramatic. The service also wasn't very fast considering there was just one other table other than us and we only ordered coffee.
However, I still had a good time and I am thinking of going back.

San Churros

Australia has currently been experiencing extremely unpredictable weather. As a result, it is quite challenging to combine clothes appropriately as rain, hail, heat and wind can be experienced during various times of the day. Regardless I still rocked some shorts today :)
My friends and I decided to go out for some desserts and having these weather conditions in mind I decided to go with the following:
--> leather shorts  (H&M)
--> maroon polkadot crop top (Supre; I've had this top for a while)]
--> black strap wedge sandals (Ruby Shoes)
Living in Sydney, its inevitable San Churros is a must. I personally love San Churros mainly because I love churros and c'mon as long as chocolate is involved I'm going to like it. I mean look at the photos, I'm craving these as I write this post.

Overall it was a great day. I just wanted to share with you guys an outfit idea that you can recreate or just a place recommendation, hope you liked this short post.  Have you been to San Churros? What do you order?

Bondi Beach

Bondi Beach, must I say more?
It's probably one of the prettiest places on Earth. I love Bondi and I think anyone who has been there will agree with me.

Not only can you enjoy the sun and the sand but also the waves of the ocean which are amazing to both look at and splash around in. Also, if you love to surf, this is the place to be!

Bondi also has other facilities, there are coastal walks that you can enjoy. One of these walks goes towards Bronte and other towards Coogee (by the way both are scenic walks and are amazing).
I walked the Bondi to Bronte route a few times and it is pretty amazing.  Its about 6km, and you can walk/run at your own pace.  It is very theraputic and the view is to die for.

After one of my recent coastal walks, I have had a brunch at Jo and Willy's Depot.  Its about two streets above the actual beach, in the corner of Brighton BLVD.
Here, I had marinated organic chicken ciabatta, walnut aioli, chill chutney, avocados and aioli (that one long name) along with a cappuccino. This without a doubt was probably one of the yummiest meals I have ever had.

Their menu does not have a big variety but what they have is amazing. The others with me were also highly pleased with their meals.

Despite this,  I must say their coffee wasn't the best cup of cappucino I had, it was pretty cold so I couldn't enjoy it as much but it was busy so it could have been due to that.
The staff are quick and friendly and I will definitely be going back there next time I am in Bondi and you should too.
This was my overall thought on my Bondi experience. Hope it was a good read!

T-shirt Dresses

T-shirt dresses also known as shift dresses have become pretty much a staple piece in everyone's wardrobe. I mean you can't go wrong with this trend. Its probably the most comfy yet put together.

Below is one way that I style t-shirt dresses-basically how accessories it. My t-shirt dress is pretty bold. I chose this one in particular to show that wearing neon isn't as scary as it may seem.
I combined this dress with a fringe bag, which is also another summer/spring trend to make it more casual.  Along with this, I added some simple boots. These give me some extra height as the dress height is below the knee cutting my height. However, I do believe you can also wear it with some chunky wedge heels or even flats if you want to simplify the outfit.

My dress is from Maison Scotch which can be relatively expensive so I found similar ones for much cheaper for you guys. There are many different types, patterns and designs so chose something you feel confident in!
